About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager (AM) is the primary day-to-day contact for all service needs for both external and internal customers. This individual will focus primarily on servicing clients within the Trucking industry. They are accountable for facilitating team service deliverables and managing accurate, efficient, and effective responses. This role requires subject matter expertise in client services and coordination, accurate insurance processing and customer experience delivery. The position operates in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge and expertise in client services, insurance processing and customer experience
  • Assist Producers and Account Executives with Client service commitments
  • Ensure service standards are met, trends are identified, and process improvements are implemented on the team
  • Function as the day-to-day customer contact and focus on troubleshooting issues and helping the client make well-informed decisions
  • Manage the new business and renewal process, as well as oversee day to day client changes
  • Accountable for client service delivery through high and/or increased client retention, rounding of accounts, referrals, and uneventful renewals
  • Ensure pre-renewal information is sent out within service standard and follow up with clients for timely response
  • Manage renewal marketing plan with Producers and Service Teams and ensure execution
  • Create accurate proposal/deliverable for the Producers and Service Teams to utilize at client renewal meeting
  • Review quotes for accuracy against supporting documents and negotiate additional coverage/price with the underwriter
  • Quickly and accurately complete the renewal bind processes and checklist
  • Ensure that the file is accurately documented to minimize E&O exposure and to be able to quickly respond to client requests.

Requirements

  • Current Insurance License in Property & Casualty and/or Health & Life for the state in which your agency office is located
  • Must be comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or related field OR equivalent relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within the insurance industry or business-related experience
