About the position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for servicing and managing a portfolio of commercial lines accounts. This role involves responding to client inquiries regarding policy and coverage, consulting on policy changes, and addressing risk management concerns. The position requires a proactive approach to client service and collaboration with insurance agency producers to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of commercial lines accounts effectively.
  • Respond to client calls regarding policy and coverage questions.
  • Consult with clients on policy changes and risk management issues.
  • Market and quote new business and renewals, ensuring competitive coverage and cost ratios.
  • Identify, compile, and manage information related to account renewals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of insurance industry experience related to servicing commercial accounts.
  • Property and Casualty license is required.
  • CIC, CPCU, or other insurance designations are desirable.
  • Strong ability to provide consultation and expert advice on risk management issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
