Commercial Lines Account Manager

About the position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Ft. Myers, FL. The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides commercial lines support in maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

• Answer and process all telephone requests, process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts
• Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the company's carriers
• Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations
• Validate coverage and ratings policies, endorsements, audits, cancellations, etc.
• Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence/requests, and expiration records
• Process premium finance agreements as needed
• Prepare billings and/or invoices on a timely basis
• Advise accounting of the appropriate posting of moneys received on assigned accounts
• Assist in the collection of premiums and audits
• Provide back-up to other Account Managers as assigned
• Develop and maintain working relationship with the various company marketing representatives and underwriters
• Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating

Requirements

• Florida 4-40 license
• Florida 2-20 License
• High school diploma
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• 2 years of service experience in the insurance industry
• Industry software experience
