About the position

Texas Security General Insurance Agency (TSGA) is seeking a Commercial Lines P&C Broker/Underwriter to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This position offers the flexibility of remote work for the right candidate, provided they are domiciled in Texas. TSGA, founded in 1995, has evolved from offering a limited range of products to providing a comprehensive suite of personal and commercial insurance solutions. Since expanding into the commercial lines business in 2007, TSGA has established itself as a competitive player in the market, offering a wide array of commercial contract and brokerage markets. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with agents and brokers, managing a current book of business, and providing exceptional customer service. You will seek opportunities to access and cultivate new markets while effectively managing carrier relationships. Additionally, you will provide guidance and training to Assistant Brokers, review and analyze risks, and ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate policies. Continuous professional development is encouraged through attendance at training sessions and courses to maintain up-to-date skills. Confidentiality and professionalism are paramount in all interactions and duties performed.

Responsibilities

  • Build agent and broker relationships.
  • Manage current book of business.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Seek opportunities to access and cultivate new markets.
  • Effectively manage carrier relationships.
  • Provide guidance and training to Assistant Broker.
  • Review and analyze risks, ensuring all required information is obtained.
  • Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of Hull & Company and Brown & Brown.
  • Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills.
  • Always conduct the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years' experience in Commercial Multi-Line Insurance Sales.
  • Production driven mentality.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
