About the position

The Commercial Loan Closer at Dallas Capital Bank is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely closing of various types of loans, including commercial, corporate, consumer, and commercial real estate loans. This role involves collecting and reviewing due diligence, preparing loan documentation, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout the closing process. The position requires effective communication with clients and third parties to ensure compliance with the bank's credit policies and security interests.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain third-party reports such as appraisals, title commitments, and environmental reports.
  • Review all collateral-related due diligence, including insurance and leases.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, title companies, and other entities to obtain necessary documents.
  • Prepare closing documentation using the Laser Pro system and engage attorneys for complex loans.
  • Communicate with internal lending staff to gather deal structure and loan terms.
  • Verify the preparation of SNDAs and Estoppels for funding or post-closing.
  • Perform a final review of loan documentation for accuracy before closing.
  • Conduct loan closings for loans not handled by an escrow agent.
  • Review signed loan documents for accuracy prior to funding.
  • Prepare funding advance forms for loan closings and image all loan documentation.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of applicable commercial loan banking experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with LaserPro software is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Thorough understanding of banking/compliance regulations related to lending.
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex loan documents.
  • Knowledge of various lending contracts and state/federal laws pertaining to lending.
  • Effective communication and business writing skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Horizon software is helpful.
  • Ability to establish smooth working relationships and resolve conflicts.
