The Commissary Supervisor at King's Hawaiian is responsible for overseeing the commissary department, managing employees, and ensuring product quality meets specifications. This role involves monitoring department systems, enforcing safety policies, training staff, and managing inventory. The position emphasizes leadership, communication, and compliance with safety standards while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Directs employees in the commissary department with respect and courtesy.
- Complies with and enforces safety policies, promoting a safe work environment.
- Trains new employees and those changing job classifications on proper procedures and equipment.
- Monitors and counts inventory levels of materials needed for production.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to quality specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
- Understanding of units of weight in grams, ounces, and pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with FlexiBake, WordPress, and SAP systems.
- Leadership experience in a food production environment.
