The Communications Manager at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers is responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that effectively engage both internal and external audiences. This role is pivotal in fostering alignment within the organization and proactively shaping stakeholder perceptions. The Communications Manager will create and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy that encompasses national, regional, and local outreach, ensuring that the organization builds and maintains strong relationships with both traditional and digital media outlets. This includes coordinating interviews, managing press conferences, and overseeing press coverage to enhance the visibility of the organization. In addition to media relations, the Communications Manager will lead crisis communications efforts and develop the thought leadership and voice of the President and CEO, as well as other members of the Leadership Team. This involves preparing them for speaking engagements, media interviews, and internal communications. The role also supports the Social Media/Digital Content Specialist in crafting stories and initiatives for social media and the organization's website, as well as assisting the Director of Events & Community Engagement with event communications. The Communications Manager will strategize, develop, and implement internal communications to keep employees informed and inspired, while also managing the organization's intranet. Collaboration with various departments and programs is essential to create and execute collateral materials and communications initiatives that reinforce Sixteenth Street's brand message and image. The role requires ensuring that all patient communications are designed with appropriate health literacy in mind and managing exterior signage at all sites. Additionally, the Communications Manager will update and enforce editorial, graphic, and branding standards for all communications and materials, ensuring compliance with quality accreditation and donor recognition requirements. The position requires fluency in both Spanish and English and adherence to the Sixteenth Street TB Control Plan, including PPD testing. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
