About the position

The Specialist, Communications, is an integral part of the Finance and Legal & Compliance Communications team at Gartner. This role is designed to inform associates about important business updates and foster a sense of community within both organizations. Reporting to the Sr Director of Corporate Communications, the Specialist will assist in executing internal communications programs, managing metrics, and overseeing various communication channels. The position requires a proactive approach to support the execution of business unit communications plans, ensuring that all communications are timely, relevant, and engaging. In this role, the Specialist will help manage a tactical editorial calendar that includes annual compulsory activities, new initiatives, and ongoing communications efforts. Regular publication of content such as articles, recordings, and polls on dedicated intranet pages will be a key responsibility. The Specialist will also measure the success of communications and change management initiatives by gathering metrics on a monthly basis, ensuring that the effectiveness of these communications is continuously evaluated and improved. Additionally, the Specialist will manage Intranet Health and Governance, assist with Finance and Legal & Compliance change management activities, and address stakeholder needs. Collaboration with business unit councils will be essential, as the Specialist will advise on corporate-related initiatives and document best practices to enhance efficiency and scalability within the communications function. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong communication skills who is eager to contribute to a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact within the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • 0-1+ years' experience in an internal communications function or related role.
  • Ability to function as an individual contributor.
  • Self-starter with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation to continuously improve oneself.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills.
