The role involves developing and writing a variety of content aimed at both internal and external audiences, including online news stories, social media posts, newsletter articles, and more. The work produced will be reviewed by a supervisor or senior team member to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines. The specialist will also serve as the technical lead for various electronic communication channels and platforms, ensuring that content is appropriate for the intended audiences. This includes managing event calendars, digital signage, and intranet sites, as well as assisting with training new users on technical functionalities. The role requires the ability to analyze metrics related to email communications and provide monthly reports on performance. Furthermore, the Communications Specialist I will coordinate publicity efforts, including drafting media pitch letters and interacting with news reporters. The position also supports integrated marketing programs by assisting in the execution of promotional activities and drafting content for various marketing materials.
