In Q4 2023, Intel announced that Altera® will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. This transition will provide Altera® with the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors. The Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and administering communications programs that support the C-suite and align with Altera's vision, mission, and values. This includes creating and reviewing materials intended for internal use, such as organizational announcements, newsletters, memos, videos, and presentations, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, consistent, and compliant with Altera's communications policies and standards. The specialist will also manage and update Altera's internal web presence and SharePoint site, ensuring that the content is relevant, accurate, and engaging for the target audience. In addition, the Communications Specialist will partner with other communication teams and business units to select the most appropriate methods and channels to deliver integrated communications to various internal audiences. Acting as an internal expert and a program/project specialist, the individual will represent the corporation to internal and external groups, agencies, and vendors. The role requires developing solutions to business communications problems using formal education, industry knowledge, business understanding, and judgment. Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of communications programs and providing feedback and recommendations for improvement is also a key responsibility. Staying updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in the communications field and applying them to work is essential for success in this role.
