About the position

The Communications Specialist at Markon is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance customer engagement and support the intelligence community. This role combines graphic design, market analysis, and technical writing to create effective communication materials and strategies that resonate with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop Customer Engagement Strategy, including best methods for internal and external outreach efforts.
• Develop and integrate brand architecture across communication mediums.
• Conduct annual communication audits including engagement surveys and focus group metrics.
• Attend working groups, draft meeting minutes, and collaborate with Customer Engagement Lead to address communication requirements.
• Gather and analyze data from customers and stakeholders to understand needs related to marketing and advertising efforts.
• Provide public relations services to develop and implement strategic communication plans.
• Develop communication plans identifying effective channels and tools to engage workforce and customers.
• Implement metrics to assess the impact of communication.
• Design and develop publications, brochures, infographics, interactive PDFs, presentations, motion graphics, exhibits, displays, posters, and wall graphics.
• Design content for digital Signage Systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of marketing experience, especially with IC customers.
• Experience with graphic design, visual aids, and other visually effective messaging.
• Experience with technical writing and crafting communication strategies.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign and other graphic design software.
