About the position

The Community Facility Manager - Golf Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a community facility, ensuring efficient programming and activities for City citizens. This role involves managing staff, coordinating interdepartmental projects, and maintaining communication with various agencies to enhance community services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned neighborhood center and associated programs, evaluating and directing operations to increase efficiency and quality of services.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure successful implementation.
  • Coordinate and supervise activities engaged in by participating agencies to meet citizens' needs.
  • Maintain communication between participating and non-participating agencies, citizens committees, and city departments.
  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff, handling employee concerns, directing work, and completing performance appraisals.
  • Establish meetings between the neighborhood and planning units/agencies and citizens committees as necessary.
  • Prepare, receive, and review various documentation including grant proposals, neighborhood planning, purchase orders, and reports.
  • Prepare and update marketing materials; attend fairs and events to promote recreation programs.

Requirements

  • Mid-level management experience in a community facility or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret financial reports and related materials.
  • Knowledge of management and financial practices, policies, and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in community engagement and program development.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and proposal submissions.
