About The Position

The Community Support Specialist works one-on-one with individuals with disabilities providing support and coordination for activities of daily living such as: community participation, hobbies and recreational activities, banking and budgeting support, vocational training and searches, health safety and wellness, household management, and adaptive living skills. The CSP helps their clients maintain independence and participate in the community to the fullest extent possible (this is NOT a residential group home position).

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Have a reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check through the MN Dept. of Human Services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be comfortable and confident working independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and coordination for activities of daily living.
• Assist clients with community participation, hobbies, and recreational activities.
• Offer banking and budgeting support.
• Facilitate vocational training and job searches.
• Promote health, safety, and wellness.
• Aid in household management and adaptive living skills.

Benefits

• $17.00 - $21.00 Per Hour (depending on experience).
