About the position

The Compensation Analyst at The Knot Worldwide is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's compensation structure, ensuring that compensation data is accurate and accessible for various stakeholders. This role involves analyzing market data, monitoring pay equity trends, and collaborating with different departments to enhance compensation practices. The analyst will report to the Director of Global Total Rewards and will work with both US and international data.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain organized compensation and pay scale information for all roles within the organization.
  • Analyze and incorporate third-party market data into existing and future practices.
  • Ensure appropriate employment classification, job level, and exemption status during onboarding and promotion processes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on internal pay equity trends and cost analysis by creating dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Benchmark jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation ranges in alignment with the organization's compensation philosophy.
  • Prepare and present summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
  • Gather data from market-based compensation surveys and assess results and market trends using data analysis techniques.
  • Evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials.
  • Research employee benefits in similar industries and recommend changes to existing benefits or policies.
  • Advise management on applicable state and federal employment regulations regarding compensation policies and structure.
  • Maintain job descriptions inventory for each position in partnership with the Compliance Manager.
  • Regularly audit the accuracy of job descriptions, especially for new roles.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in Compensation/Total Rewards or a related field.
  • Expert level Excel skills required.
  • Experience with Google Suite, specifically Google Sheets.
  • A degree or certification in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Prior experience working in HRIS/HCM systems with practical experience in HR database administration including payroll systems.
  • Prior experience analyzing Radford, Mercer, WTW, or other third-party compensation data.
  • Prior experience administering an organization's promotion/merit process via spreadsheets or systems such as PayScale.
  • Experience in creating, designing, and maintaining effective dashboards and other data delivery methods to stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
