About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst is responsible for the analysis and administration of compensation and benefits within the organization. This role involves providing subject matter expertise in various areas including compensation structures, benefits administration, compliance, and data reporting. The analyst will ensure high standards of HR customer service while maintaining the accuracy of data in HR systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compensation analysis to ensure external and internal equity, including performing surveys to analyze market and industry trends.
  • Lead the annual merit and bonus planning cycle, presenting complex compensation data to diverse audiences.
  • Provide guidance to managers and staff regarding benefits and compensation.
  • Conduct HR data analytics including workforce statistics and benefit analysis.
  • Serve as backup to HR Administrator for bi-weekly payroll processing and participate in year-end payroll processes.
  • Support Senior HR Manager with benefits administration and annual open enrollment benefits cycle.
  • Participate in and support 401K audits and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR practices and regulations.
  • Participate in special projects and HR-related committees.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent; HR focus preferred.
  • 5+ years of compensation experience required.
  • 3+ years of benefits experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of compensation structures, job evaluation, and salary surveys.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations impacting compensation and benefits.
  • HRIS and/or payroll experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Good judgment with high levels of integrity and problem-solving skills.
