About the position

The Compensation & Benefits Manager for the West Division at Interstate Concrete and Asphalt is responsible for managing compensation and benefit plans and programs. This role serves as a liaison between Corporate Compensation/Benefits and local HR, Management, and Benefit Administrators, ensuring effective support on compensation philosophy and benefit oversight. The position involves mentoring, improving employee experience with benefits, conducting training, managing audits, and overseeing compensation programs and incentive plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compensation and benefit plans and programs within CRH Americas Materials- West Division.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to the West Division Benefits Manager.
  • Improve employee experience with Benefits by serving as the escalation point for employee benefit issues.
  • Conduct training with HR, management, payroll, and employees to improve understanding of Benefits.
  • Manage periodic audits of benefits systems, 401(k) testing, and eligibility issues.
  • Oversee follow up and appeals for Wellness Initiative Credit.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and incentive plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend changes.
  • Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions and job evaluations.
  • Oversee participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data.
  • Manage merit increases, incentive compensation, and annual compensation cycle with HR teams.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to the West Division Data Manager.
  • Monitor accurate data exchange and manage People Powered Recognition Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience as a Total Rewards Manager or Compensation and Benefits Manager; or HR Manager with emphasis on compensation and benefits.
  • Expertise in MS Word and Excel.
