About the position

The position of Compensation and Benefits Manager at CRH's Americas Materials - West Division involves managing compensation and benefit plans while serving as a liaison between Corporate Compensation/Benefits and local HR. The role focuses on improving employee experience with benefits, overseeing compensation programs, and ensuring compliance with compensation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage compensation and benefit plans and programs within CRH Americas Materials - West Division.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to the West Division Benefits Manager.
  • Improve employee experience with benefits by addressing employee benefit issues and providing high-level customer service.
  • Conduct training with HR, management, payroll, and employees to improve understanding of benefits.
  • Manage periodic audits of benefits systems and oversee follow-up and appeals for Wellness Initiative Credit.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and incentive plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommend cost-effective changes.
  • Provide advice on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
  • Oversee participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to achieve corporate compensation objectives.
  • Manage merit increases, incentive compensation, and annual compensation cycles in collaboration with HR teams.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to the West Division Data Manager and monitor data exchange accuracy.
  • Oversee the People Powered Recognition Program and conduct due diligence for compensation and benefits analyses during acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Total Rewards Manager or Compensation and Benefits Manager, or HR Manager with a focus on compensation and benefits.
  • Expertise in MS Word and Excel.
