About the position

The Compensation Consultant at Mission Hospital plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing compensation strategies and programs. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, business acumen, and project management to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that align with organizational goals. The consultant will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure competitive compensation practices that support the overall mission of the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of compensation data, including salary surveys and market benchmarks.
  • Utilize data modeling and analytical techniques to assess the effectiveness of compensation programs.
  • Create dashboards to summarize data in a meaningful way.
  • Collaborate with clients to define compensation objectives aligned with business strategies.
  • Design and develop compensation frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
  • Evaluate job roles to determine appropriate job levels and salary ranges.
  • Conduct job pricing exercises using market data to establish competitive compensation packages.
  • Collaborate with HR teams and senior management to align compensation strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including executives and HR leaders.
  • Design and implement incentive and variable pay programs.
  • Develop models to assess the effectiveness of incentive programs.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends related to compensation practices.
  • Provide guidance on governance processes and compliance with internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation, analytics, or related experience is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data modeling is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and tools such as Power BI is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights is required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams is required.
  • Strong business acumen to align compensation strategies with organizational goals is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Healthcare, general industry, and consulting experience is preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional Certificate is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, methodologies, and best practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with job evaluation techniques, salary surveys, and market benchmarking is preferred.
