About the position

The Confidentiality & Privacy Risk Analyst will support the strategic priorities and mitigation of confidentiality and privacy risks across the Deloitte US Firms. This role involves evaluating technologies for confidentiality and privacy risks, participating in key strategic initiatives, and building expertise in the firm's confidentiality and privacy policies. The analyst will contribute to the assessment processes, coordinate with stakeholders, and support the development of training materials and program assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Confidentiality & Privacy Impact Assessments (CPIA) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify follow-up items and track activities methodically with attention to quality and timeliness.
  • Assess the CPIA intake process and identify enhancements for capturing new technologies.
  • Conduct risk assessments of established and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and metaverse technologies.
  • Coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to complete assessments.
  • Develop an understanding of the US Firms' businesses to provide guidance on potential risks.
  • Participate in projects to enhance confidentiality and privacy programs, including developing training materials and presentations.
  • Support confidentiality and privacy program assessments and system reviews.
  • Review technical requirements, vendor solutions, and data protection features of applications and systems.
  • Support data analytics efforts to identify insights and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in risk management or privacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Attention to quality and detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and respond with urgency.
  • Critical thinking skills for evaluating different scenarios.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Collaborative work ethic and strong teaming skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree in a related field.
  • Experience in technology risk, privacy, confidentiality, or cybersecurity.
