About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Coordinator to oversee a substation project in Fredericksburg, VA. This project is expected to last 8-10 months, with potential for extension and opportunities to work on additional projects afterwards. The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for driving subcontractor performance, ensuring overall production and quality, and leading a team of up to 25 people.

Requirements

• Substation Construction Management experience.
• Distribution Construction Management experience.
• Proficiency in electrical distribution and power delivery.
• Experience with construction documents and QA/QC processes.
• Strong computer and reporting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Entergy projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of transmission, safety, and electrical project management.
• Strong experience in construction management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction and commissioning phases of the substation project.
• Drive subcontractor performance to ensure project goals are met.
• Lead and manage subcontractor crews in building the substation.
• Ensure overall production and quality of the project and the crew.
• Manage up to 25 team members at a time.
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with safety, quality, reporting, contract, standards, change management, risk management, and schedule requirements.
• Communicate effectively with the project team and stakeholders.
• Conduct standardized reporting and appropriate construction meetings.
