About The Position

As a Telecom Wireline Construction Manager at MasTec Communications Group, you will oversee all phases of utility construction for various telecom projects. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience managing telecom construction projects.
• Knowledge of telecom construction industry practices including Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, and Directional Drilling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project.
• Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with map reading and troubleshooting in the field.
• Previous site management experience with good client and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of utility construction for telecom projects.
• Lead a team of construction professionals to produce high-quality work.
• Provide high-level customer service for escalated issues.
• Direct multiple crews and their job site activities.
• Review project schedules against deadlines and manage projects to completion on-time and within budget.
• Schedule crews, delegate tasks, and supervise work performance and job quality.
• Participate in the hiring process and maintain employment-related paperwork.
• Promote a safe work environment and hold crews accountable for safety practices.
• Prepare and interpret drawings, graphs, maps, blueprints, and specifications.
• Identify and resolve blueprint issues prior to and during construction.
• Supervise subcontractors and inspect their work.
• Participate in meetings with senior management and customers.
• Engage in estimating, bidding projects, contract negotiations, and change order preparation.
