About the position

As a Construction Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing both the administrative and technical aspects of project construction. This role involves managing a team of field and cost engineers, ensuring that all project components are executed efficiently and effectively. You will serve as the primary conduit of information between the construction manager and your team, focusing on critical areas such as cost management, revenue tracking, and cash flow analysis. Your strong interpersonal skills will be essential in fostering communication and collaboration within your team and with other stakeholders. In addition to managing project schedules and financials, you will also be involved in temporary engineering solutions, permanent design management, and quality control processes. Your responsibilities will extend to project closeout activities and maintaining positive client relations. You will assist in operations planning and will be tasked with administering contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. This position is based out of our Houston, TX office, but it requires significant on-site responsibilities. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ years' work experience in construction or engineering
  • Experience managing engineers
  • Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
