About The Position

The Construction Supervisor will lead and direct the construction contractor workforce for electric transmission and distribution line or substation projects. This role emphasizes safety, compliance, and effective communication to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in transmission/distribution, overhead line or substation construction activities in a supervisory capacity.
• Intimate understanding of applicable construction standards, operating procedures, and work methods.
• Knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, local, and applicable environmental rules and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with self-direction and high motivation.
• Ability to understand construction field issues, prints, specification sheets, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
• Resilient and self-motivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive leadership and direction to the construction contractor workforce.
• Ensure high standards of safety, security, and adherence to design and environmental compliance.
• Work closely with the contracted workforce to develop a complete Work Proposal, including construction work plan and detailed schedule.
• Identify and assign external resource needs to support construction contract work plans, schedule, and budget.
• Interface with individuals to understand contract program needs and ensure commitments are delivered on time and within budget.
• Participate in construction conference calls and meetings to provide weekly updates and reports.
