About the position

This is a very exciting opportunity to join the FAST Delivery Team as a Product Owner to help create the future of life and annuities at Lincoln. Our new administrative platform is a configurable system that will allow technical business users to build products and create rules that will guide end processors in issuing and administering life and annuity policies. This role will collaborate with the FAST Product Manager, other Product Owners, and the Agile team to define and deliver on the strategic roadmap. The Product Owner will manage epics, document user stories, and collaborate with other Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and evaluate current processes to create solutions to meet needs, goals, and objectives of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and management to gather and support prioritization of complex product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Translate and convey the business need into user stories for life and annuity product development.
  • Continuously prioritize the product backlog to ensure all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle and the development team is focused on the highest value work.
  • Coordinate with other Product Owners and team members to manage dependencies across teams.
  • Partner with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and current or emerging trends to refine the longer-term roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 Years of experience in life insurance business
  • 3 - 5+ Years of experience in Product Ownership / Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, or other Agile-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Proven track record as a strong collaborator and communicator
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
