About the position
Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Jersey City, New Jersey and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. The role involves managing information technology projects, including development and implementation, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. The manager will oversee technical teams to architect, build and deploy IT project solutions, manage and deliver components of engagements within the full software development life cycle, and participate in the proposal development process. Additionally, the manager will serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team, and developers/testers, and work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications.
Responsibilities
- Manage information technology projects from requirements to deployment.
- Oversee technical teams to architect, build, and deploy IT project solutions.
- Manage and deliver components of engagements within the full software development life cycle.
- Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
- Contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
- Act as a counselor and coach, participating in staff recruitment and retention activities.
- Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
- Serve as a technical liaison between the business, project team, and developers/testers.
- Work with IT infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain applications.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field.
- 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience.
- 3 years of experience utilizing Java, J2EE, Mule ESB, and related software for IT projects.
- Experience coordinating teams for business requirements, process design, and testing using tools like MS Visio, iRise, and Articulate.
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project, JIRA, and Monday.com.
- Experience interfacing with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements.
- Experience leading development, testing, and deployment using J2EE, EJB 3.0, Spring, SpringBoot, AngularJS, IBM Websphere, MS SQL, and Bamboo.
- Experience creating plans to mitigate risks and issues and driving scope using change management processes.
