About the position

As a Sales Director at Syneos Health, you will provide the vision, set the pace, and inspire success within your team. You will be responsible for the successful promotion of Consumer product lines across the nation, managing a team of District Managers and Professional Sales Representatives. Your role will involve overseeing the activities and performance of your team, ensuring that partnership goals are met or exceeded. This position can be based anywhere in the United States, preferably near a major airport.

Responsibilities

  • Manage regional staff of managers and interface with representatives
  • Select, evaluate, and retain employees
  • Provide coaching and training of District Managers
  • Create a climate of trust and clarify roles/responsibilities
  • Inspire ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement within the team
  • Demonstrate relentless drive to achieve business goals
  • Approve and assist in the implementation of district plans
  • Collaborate with customers and key stakeholders
  • Identify issues and opportunities using analytical rigor
  • Ensure compliance with promotional regulations
  • Review employee performance and address skill development
  • Provide feedback to marketing and Sales Leadership
  • Interface with other functional leaders to achieve business goals
  • Manage the national budget and expense management
  • Frequent travel required within the Nation and to home office.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree required; M.S. or MBA preferred
  • Ten+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sales
  • Five or more years' experience managing District Managers
  • Experience and working knowledge of primary care space preferred
  • Ability to identify impactful strategies and formulate business plans
  • Previous successful work experience in team selling environments
  • Ability to negotiate and influence cross-functionally
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Current driver's license and clean driving record.
