About the position
At SusieCakes, we make old-fashioned sentimental dessert favorites just like you may remember from your childhood. Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars all baked from scratch on site daily using the freshest and finest ingredients. Our signature Celebration Cake is a birthday staple on tens of thousands of tables. Our bakeries mix the nostalgia of the past with the warmth and feel of a modern neighborhood bakery. Connecting through Celebration is our purpose and what we strive for every day with our team members, our guests, and our community. We are seeking a part-time Content Creator Intern to help assist our CEO and Founder Susan Sarich with creating content. This role will work closely with Susan herself and the Social Media team to work approximately 10 hours a month.
Responsibilities
- Support the social media team in developing Susan's Instagram to drive following engagement and advocacy
- Film content for Susan's Instagram account
- Participate in brainstorms and content ideation
- Present video concepts, film original video assets, and edit content on different apps on a mobile device
- Comfortable directing Susan on camera
Requirements
- Lives in the Dallas area
- Must have reliable transportation
- Passion for SusieCakes and strong interest in the social and digital space
- Significant experience as an Instagram user with a deep understanding of Instagram's ecosystem, trends, hashtags, music usage, functionalities, guidelines, and platform updates
- History of creating content that performed well and drove attention, whether for yourself or a brand
- Superior verbal and written copy editing and proofreading skills
- Experience on Instagram with knowledge of what performs well on the platform and what doesn't
- Creative, innovative personality that is always thinking outside of the box
- Attention to detail, responsible, and reliable
- Proactive, go-getter, and effective communicator
- Ability to connect weekly with direct supervisor via videoconferencing
