About the position

WBMA ABC 3340 is a trusted brand providing Alabama viewers with local news, weather, sports, entertainment, and social media content. We hire talented people who wish to excel in the television and digital content industry. You have the opportunity to work with a team filled with spirit, passion, and imagination. We are currently seeking a talented Content Creator to join our Creative Services Team. The successful candidate must be able to create, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit compelling content to support the needs of our business clients as well as promote news and programming products across all digital and linear broadcast streams. Be a team player in a fast-paced environment and understand the power of social media. Responsibilities include creating content (including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams) for our commercial client, while also marketing news and entertainment properties as needed. You will write compelling copy that maximizes the impact on audiences on each platform and interact with Sales, News, Marketing, and other management to ensure created content adheres to brands and goals. The role requires looking for new and innovative ways to create content that will reach audiences efficiently, and the ability to meet tight deadlines is key. You will work directly with commercial clients to meet their marketing needs and participate in Station events, including appearances within the community. A flexible schedule is also required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Create content including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams for commercial clients.
• Write compelling copy that maximizes audience impact on each platform.
• Interact with Sales, News, Marketing, and management to ensure content adheres to brand goals.
• Look for innovative ways to create content that efficiently reaches audiences.
• Meet tight deadlines for content production.
• Work directly with commercial clients to meet their marketing needs.
• Participate in Station events and community appearances.
• Maintain a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere and After Effects.
• A dazzling resume reel showcasing personal, academic, and professional projects.
• Talent for writing engaging and imaginative copy.
• Ability to shoot captivating, cinematic video.
• A college degree and two years of previous experience in social or broadcast content creation.
• Ability to produce content from conception to post, including conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of top social media platforms and best practices for posting.
• Highly creative with strong communication skills.
• Good client relations experience.
