About the position

WBMA ABC 3340 is seeking a talented Content Creator to join our Creative Services Team. This role is pivotal in creating, conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing compelling content that supports the needs of our business clients while also promoting news and programming products across all digital and linear broadcast streams. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team that embodies spirit, passion, and imagination. The Content Creator will be responsible for producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences and meets the marketing needs of our commercial clients. In this position, you will be expected to create diverse content, including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams. Writing compelling copy that maximizes audience impact on each platform is essential. You will interact with various departments, including Sales, News, and Marketing, to ensure that the content aligns with brand goals. The role requires a proactive approach to finding innovative ways to engage audiences effectively. Meeting tight deadlines is crucial, and you will work directly with commercial clients to fulfill their marketing needs. Participation in station events and community appearances is also part of the job, and flexibility in scheduling is required.

Responsibilities

• Create content (including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams) for our commercial client, while also marketing news and entertainment properties as needed.
• Write compelling copy that maximizes the impact on audiences on each platform.
• Interact with Sales, News, Marketing, and other management to ensure created content adheres to brands and goals.
• Look for new and innovative ways to create content that will reach audiences efficiently.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines is key.
• Work directly with commercial clients to meet their marketing needs.
• Participate in Station events, including appearances within the community.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Must demonstrate proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly with Premiere and After Effects.
• Must have a dazzling resume reel, including personal, academic, and professional projects.
• Must demonstrate talent for writing engaging and imaginative copy.
• Must demonstrate an eye for shooting captivating, cinematic video.
• A college degree and two years of previous experience in social or broadcast content creation (professionally or academically).
• Must be able to produce from conception to post, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit cutting-edge content while also managing deadlines.
• Must demonstrate shooting skills and a good understanding of graphics and visual effects.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the top social media platforms and best practices for posting.
• Highly creative and strong communication skills.
• Good client relations and experience.
