About the position

The Content Editor - Pharmacy Health at Wolters Kluwer plays a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of drug file and core concept data for both domestic and international markets. This position is integral to the company's strategy for expanding into international markets and involves collaboration with various departments to enhance product offerings. The role requires a blend of clinical expertise and technical skills to ensure high-quality data is produced and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development/maintenance/QA of detailed and specialized embedded drug file content to support proprietary international and domestic databases.
  • Uses multiple data sources and clinical and technical expertise to create relevant, clinically meaningful data used in prescribing, dispensing, administration, and claims adjudication.
  • Creates and revises high quality embedded drug information consistent with the format and structure of the databases.
  • Anticipates problems or issues and identifies creative ways to solve problems or mitigate risks.
  • Achieves productivity metrics.
  • Shares information and expertise with colleagues at all levels.
  • Participates in the process of new product development, product design, and Content Management System (CMS) tool enhancements.
  • Provides customer and client support.
  • Responds to queries regarding content.
  • Works with other departments and authors to improve data/products and their appeal to selected segments of the market.
  • Understands unique policies that apply to all content sets.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of data use by customers.
  • Assists in creation of policies for content.
  • Uses technical skills to promote innovation, efficiency, and quality data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field; or equivalent experience (2+ years of experience with drug data in place of a degree)
  • 2+ years' experience with drug data, Electronic Medical Records (EMR); or 5+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or other health related profession.
  • Experience with leadership
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
