About the position
The Content Marketing Creator at WGME CBS 13/WPFO FOX 23 is responsible for creating, conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing engaging content to promote news and programming across various digital and linear broadcast platforms. This role requires a creative individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively utilize social media to reach targeted demographics.
Responsibilities
- Create promotional content including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams to market various news and entertainment properties.
- Write compelling copy that maximizes the impact on audiences on each platform.
- Monitor past-performance and data analytics to inform content strategy.
- Interact with News, Marketing, and other management to ensure created content adheres to station brands and goals.
- Look for new and innovative ways to create marketing content that will reach our audience efficiently.
- Meet tight deadlines consistently.
- Participate in Station events including appearances within the community.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in writing powerful, attention-grabbing copy.
- A college degree and two years previous experience in social or broadcast content creation (professionally or academically).
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to create, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit cutting-edge content while managing deadlines.
- Clear understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to targeted demographics.
- Professional shooting skills and good understanding of graphics and visual effects.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the top social media platforms and best practices for posting.
- Highly creative and strong communication skills.
