About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Process Engineer at Aspire Bakeries plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and quality within the manufacturing processes. This position involves analyzing current processes, implementing Lean Six Sigma strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to reduce waste and optimize production. The engineer will lead training initiatives, serve as a change agent for operational excellence, and utilize data analysis to support strategic decision-making, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Process Improvement/Engineering or project management in a manufacturing role.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
  • Experience with programming and data querying software (Visual Basics, DAX, or SQL preferred).
  • Experience in 3D modeling and CAD software (AutoCAD and Navisworks preferred).
  • Proven track record in implementing Lean Six Sigma and driving process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, Power BI).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Strong project management skills and analytical approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand all aspects of the process and materials used to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma tools to identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to achieve the company's strategic and operational objectives.
  • Lead, train, and educate staff on process improvement methodologies such as Daily Management Systems, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, RCA, Problem Solving, and Kaizen.
  • Serve as a change agent directing activities around performance, quality controls, and KPI monitoring.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional project teams to execute improvement initiatives from start to finish.
  • Champion the Aspire Operations Excellence (AOE) program to improve operational systems and best practices.
  • Utilize data analysis to uncover trends, root causes, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Compile and display findings via dashboards and charts.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to determine underlying reasons for problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational Run Data.
  • Develop visual aids to support sustainable operations in production.
  • Facilitate change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption.
  • Manage and maintain logs of major events and Run Data changes to mitigate risks.
  • Work to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of products and processes.
  • Design and specify new process equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Partner with engineering and maintenance to design and install efficiency improvements.
