The Contract Specialist will evaluate, review, draft and negotiate various contracts with vendors, suppliers and other third parties, and ensure contracts are in compliance with the Hospital's policies and standards. The individual will provide contractual support to stakeholders across the organization. The Contract Specialist should be familiar with legal terminology, a variety of contractual agreements, and contract drafting and negotiation. The role aims to protect the organization's interests, facilitate smooth contract negotiation and execution, and support strategic objectives. This position is a full time position working 4 days at our Corporate Office in mid-town Manhattan and the ability for 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, review, draft and negotiate various contracts with vendors, suppliers and other third parties.
  • Ensure contracts are in compliance with the Hospital's policies and standards.
  • Provide contractual support to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Familiarize with legal terminology and a variety of contractual agreements.
  • Protect the organization's interests during contract negotiation and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of contracts experience, including reviewing, structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of agreements.
  • Excellent working knowledge of contract law and legal concepts (e.g., limitations of liability, indemnification, warranties, termination and confidentiality).
  • Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and contract management platforms (e.g., Evisort).
