Under general supervision, develops, processes, approves, and oversees legal contracts and compliance within the guidelines. Monitors performance of assigned contracts.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee contracts for Direct services for DJJ youth and Staff within the guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS).
Prepares contracts in compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations, and agency/department policy.
Monitor contracts for performance compliance/non-compliance and take appropriate actions with regard to contract compliance, progress and corrective actions.
Function as the liaison between the Business Owner of the contract and the Vendor.
Assist the Contracts team with adding funds to contracts, uploading documents in Peoplesoft, and file contract documents.
Oversee contract routing by updating Contract routing log.
Periodically checking contracts in PS to make sure all documents are current and up to date, request out of date documents for the Contracts team and inform the team when the request is sent out.
Assist Contracts Manager with processing complex solicitations (RFP, RFI, etc.).
Participate in training on more complex contracts and solicitations.
Requirements
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of contracting job-related experience.
Or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Contracts Administrator 1 (LEP030) or position equivalent.
An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
