About the position

The Contracts Manager at Koniag Government Services (KGS) is responsible for overseeing contracting and procurement functions in a dynamic environment. This role emphasizes compliance, operational efficiency, and customer service, while interacting with executives, clients, and acquisition officials. The position supports the firm's approach to contract negotiation and management, serving as an adviser on contractual and regulatory matters. Remote work is acceptable for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Review contracts, subcontracts, and modifications for completeness, compliance, and accuracy from proposal stage to project close-out.
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretations of terms and conditions.
  • Monitor performance, funding, and payments on assigned contracts, notifying upper management of potential non-compliance.
  • Lead or assist technical teams in negotiations of proposals, contract modifications, and agreements as required.
  • Draft, issue, and negotiate subcontract agreements and modifications, consulting agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Manage the coordination of various types of agreements with accounting, legal, and program management.
  • Ensure the maintenance of complete and accurate contract and subcontract records in the company's systems.
  • Review solicitations to identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Prepare representations and certifications required by solicitations and/or partners.
  • Participate in proposal meetings and assist with pricing strategy reviews.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship due to Federal contractual obligation.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related federal legislation and regulations.
  • Experience with administration and management of GSA Schedules.
  • Strong understanding of all contract types including T&M, FFP, CPAF, CPFF, and IDIQs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of small business and small disadvantaged business requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of a company.
  • Ten to fifteen years of dedicated experience in contract and subcontract administration.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in business or related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in business or Contract Management certification.
  • Experience working for a Small Business and/or an 8(a), ANC.
  • Experience using JAMIS Prime ERP.
