About The Position

The Control Systems Lead (CSL) at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying material handling control systems equipment within fulfillment center operations. This role ensures the operational performance of various equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, and SCADA devices, while promoting a safety-first culture.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with a focus in Electronic Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • 2+ years of experience with motor controls and electrical components.
  • 2+ years of experience with programming HMI components.
  • 2+ years of experience with PLC programs.
  • 2+ years of experience with robotics system components and controls.
  • 2+ years of experience with SCADA systems.
  • Experience interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical systems (3 years preferred).
  • Leadership experience (1 year preferred).
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (3 years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Fix and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and RSLogix 5000 software package.
  • Monitor industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and others.
  • Act as first-level support for the Control Systems Technician team.
  • Monitor material handling equipment metrics and resolve electrical problems with Controls Technicians and Mechanics.
  • Perform controls systems assessments to maintain and improve equipment reliability.
  • Partner with Facility Operations leadership and equipment vendors for new technology installations.
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines with site leadership and maintenance teams.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with clients and operations maintenance team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.
