About the position
Joey Accardi CDJR is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee the financial operations of two automotive dealerships. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial planning, all while supporting the company's growth in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage all financial aspects of the automotive division, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and profitability
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and training as needed
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Support strategic planning initiatives through financial modeling and analysis
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in automotive finance or accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-haves
- DealerTrack experience preferred, but not required
- HR and Payroll experience, a plus
