About the position

The Controller at RapidSOS will play a crucial role in shaping the financial infrastructure of the company as it scales. This position requires a proactive and strategic finance leader who can blend hands-on execution with a strategic approach to building robust financial systems. The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Maintain audit readiness and collaborate with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit process.
• Drive automation initiatives by leveraging NetSuite and other financial tools, reducing dependency on manual processes.
• Safeguard financial data by ensuring integrity and security across all records.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Develop scalable financial processes to support rapid growth and evolving business needs.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accounting Manager or Controller in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment.
• Strong NetSuite expertise with a track record in automation and system optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Tech-forward, process-improvement mindset with a focus on scalability.
