About The Position

The Controls Engineer Associate position at Westinghouse Electric Company is a contractor role focused on Control Systems Engineering within the nuclear power generation sector. Requirements

• Associate or training in I&C Technical Training and currently enrolled in an Engineering Degree Program.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 1-5 years experience as an I&C Technician.
• Must be able to pass nuclear background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Interpret functional requirements for I&C Plant Systems.
• Design, document, and test I&C Plant Systems for Nuclear Power Generation applications.
• Develop I&C design specifications to meet functional requirements.
• Implement I&C hardware and software designs according to specifications.
• Create design documents, test plans, and procedures to validate designs against specifications.
• Generate and issue Field Change Notices for hardware and software modifications.
• Resolve technical issues during system design, implementation, and site commissioning/startup.
• Support manufacturing operations for procurement, testing, and integration of I&C Plant Systems.
• Assist field operations during site commissioning and startup activities.
• Interface with Supply Chain Management, manufacturing, vendors, and other departments related to I&C systems design and development.
• Provide cost and schedule estimates to support subject matter experts.
