About the position

The Coordinator II, Benefits at Southwire Company, LLC plays a crucial role in the daily coordination and administration of the company's health and welfare benefit programs. This includes overseeing the administration of various leave policies and insurance programs such as health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. The coordinator is responsible for providing timely information and guidance to team members regarding their benefits, handling enrollments, updating records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the benefits administration process, which directly impacts employee satisfaction and well-being. In this role, the Coordinator II will assist in addressing benefits-related questions from team members and the People & Culture Team, ensuring that inquiries are resolved promptly. The coordinator will also generate and create reports related to benefits employment, enrollment, census, reconciliation, and leave, which are vital for tracking and managing the benefits programs effectively. Communication with representatives from benefits carriers and vendors is another key responsibility, as it ensures effective administration and helps identify and resolve any issues that may arise. Additionally, the Coordinator II will partner with the HR and Benefits team to implement new processes and improve existing ones. Documenting and revising benefits processes and procedures is also part of the job, ensuring that all practices are up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Responsibilities

  • Assist in addressing team members' and People & Culture Team's benefits-related questions in a timely manner.
  • Generate and create reports to produce benefits-related employment, enrollment, census, reconciliation, and leave reports.
  • Communicate with representatives from benefits carriers/vendors to ensure effective administration as well as the identification and resolution of problems.
  • Partner with the HR and Benefits team to implement processes and process improvement.
  • Document and revise benefits processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in human resources or benefits administration.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to professionally handle confidential information.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hybrid workplace setting.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration software or tools.
