About the position

The Patient Enrollment Coordinator at Cano Health plays a crucial role in enhancing the enrollment growth objectives by guiding patients through the insurance and payment processes. This position requires fluency in various payor sources and involves direct interaction with patients to facilitate their enrollment in health plans and payment options. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining relationships with health plan agents and brokers, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and information regarding their healthcare options.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent Cano Health and provide center tours.
  • Identify prospects' needs and answer questions related to healthcare access and Cano service offerings.
  • Facilitate enrollment into health plans or payment plans.
  • Assist patients with credit applications, if applicable.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with health plan agents and brokers.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals and growth targets.
  • Verify insurance and benefit coverage for each service provided.
  • Maintain communication with current members to ensure no loss of benefit coverage.
  • Collaborate with Community Outreach associates on center and community activities.
  • Generate and submit reports on new enrollment for insured/cash pay members.
  • Deliver presentations and distribute educational materials to members/potential members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in marketing, business development, community engagement, or the healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional networking and negotiation skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with little supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding customer service skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

  • Sales and marketing experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous healthcare marketing, enrollment, and/or grassroots/community outreach experience.
