About the position

The Copywriter will be an integral part of the Marketing Team, responsible for crafting and editing copy across various platforms including web, email, and social media. This role emphasizes maintaining the brand's voice and tone while developing engaging narratives that resonate with consumers. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the Global Creative Director and other marketing partners to create compelling content that aligns with brand strategy and positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the highest editorial standard for all copy.
  • Work directly with the Creative Director to communicate brand voice and tone consistently.
  • Lead copy creation for email, web, and product copy.
  • Translate strategic marketing initiatives into compelling copy solutions.
  • Collaborate with graphic and digital designers on marketing communications.
  • Assist in developing copy for social media platforms as needed.
  • Develop and maintain the copy style guide for new hires and partnerships.
  • Conduct strategic A/B testing of copy and subject lines for email.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Brand Creative, and eCommerce teams.
  • Become a product expert to help consumers understand the brand and products.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to understand seasonal product lines.
  • Consult with Creative Director, designers, and marketing personnel as necessary.
  • Present ideas and rationale for writing and concepts effectively.
  • Differentiate products through engaging product-driven storytelling.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with high-volume workload.
  • Raise the bar on creativity and writing fresh copy that connects with the audience.
  • Vary voice and style as demanded by the company or target audience.
  • Stay updated on style guidelines and brand voice for consistency.
  • Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts.
  • Monitor trends through business/industry resources.
  • Ensure written materials are clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Revise copy based on feedback and direction.
  • Proofread written work and online content.
  • Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility.
  • Help communicate creative ideas in presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related major.
  • 5+ years of experience in agency/in-house content creation, preferably in design or lifestyle.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
  • Solid understanding of digital experiences and writing for various channels.
  • Experience writing high-level campaign storytelling and rationales.
  • Familiarity with project and collaboration tools such as Jira.
  • Knowledge of current trends in lifestyle, pop culture, and footwear.
  • Attention to detail in grammar, voice, and project management.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in SEO and analytics programs is a plus.
  • Ability to manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Capability to write high-quality, grammatically flawless copy quickly.
  • Skill in turning technical product concepts into relatable content.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing strong grasp of brand voice across channels.
  • Passion for footwear and fashion.
  • Desire to learn and grow within a small design team.
