About the position

The Copywriter/Editor position at Plastic Surgery Studios is an in-office role focused on writing and editing SEO content for various marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have a passion for grammar and punctuation, the ability to engage audiences, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role involves collaborating with clients and other departments to ensure high-quality content that meets company and client guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Writing and editing SEO content in the form of blogs and website pages that meet company and client guidelines.
• Fact-checking and verifying the accuracy of the content in every written piece.
• Researching relevant SEO keywords to include in the content.
• Discussing content with clients during phone conferences as needed.
• Reviewing and editing content to ensure correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, accuracy of the content, clarity of meaning, appropriate length, and suitability for the intended audience.
• Applying a 'house style' to content written by more than one writer.
• Creating detailed blog topics to promote readership and engagement.
• Choosing stock photos and patient images to be included on blogs.
• Communicating with other departments (project managers, marketing, design, and sales) when needed to determine project direction and specifics.
• Submitting projects on time using project management software (Wrike).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, creative writing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of the AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style and the ability to adapt to in-house style guides.
• SEO content writing experience.
• Excellent knowledge of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Ability to write clear, concise, accurate, and organized copy.
• Strong research skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work with other writers, editors, marketers, project managers, salespersons, and team leaders.
