About the position

(matter) is hiring a part-time Copywriter to join our creative agency, focusing on creating impactful work for clients in the medical device sector. The role emphasizes collaboration within a team, allowing for autonomy and flexibility while contributing to diverse creative assignments across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Write copy from concept to end-product, managing multiple projects and tight timelines.
  • Collaborate with creative teammates, strategists, project managers, and account teams to ensure creative work is on-brand and effective.
  • Ensure consistency and efficacy of copy throughout all creative outputs.
  • Work within established brand guidelines, adapting writing styles to fit different brand personalities.
  • Contribute to entire campaigns that address consumer needs and business goals.
  • Develop ideas for new business pitches and existing clients across various media.
  • Present creative ideas confidently to leadership, articulating and rationalizing decisions with strategic insights.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends and culture to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Edit and proofread own work for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with project managers and account teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years copywriting experience within an advertising/marketing agency or similar setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device marketing, including regulations and basic anatomy.
  • Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or similar field (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
  • Cross-functional design and concepting experience.
  • Proven record of impressive advertising collateral and campaign concepts, demonstrated by a digital portfolio.
  • Excellent writing and copy skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to think strategically and see ideas through to polished execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience writing general advertising and marketing copy is a plus.
  • Aptitude for design and concepting.
  • Deadline- and goal-orientation.
