Harrison Steel has an opening on first shift in its core making area to create cores that will be inserted into the mold to help create dimensional tolerances required by our customers. The core making process involves several steps, including inspecting core boxes for wear and damage, operating the sand mixer to fill the core box with sand, inserting reinforcing rebar into the sand, compacting sand in the core box, and removing the sand core from the core box.
