About the position

The Corp Benefits Coordinator at Golden Entertainment is responsible for providing daily support to the Benefits leadership team. This role involves developing and delivering benefits communications, organizing on-site events, and managing team member enrollment processes for company-issued benefits. The coordinator acts as a liaison between the HR Benefits department and various properties, ensuring effective communication and support for team members regarding their benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Human Resources Benefits department liaison to all properties and locations, visiting them as needed to discuss benefits with team members and answer any questions they may have.
  • Proactively schedule on-property benefit events and classes, communicate the events via approved communication methods, handle the enrollment of event attendees, and follow up to ensure appropriate attendance.
  • Oversee events by ensuring presenters are set up and ready to present when scheduled, and perform any related follow-up as necessary.
  • Conduct onsite benefit presentations as needed.
  • Ensure all property Benefits communications boards are consistently updated.
  • Create and deliver Benefits communication pieces, including flyers, posters, monthly newsletters, and email blasts as assigned.
  • Work with the corporate Marketing department on communication projects.
  • Send announcements to newly eligible team members notifying them of their eligibility and assist with enrollment questions.
  • Coordinate with company benefits providers to ensure successful completion of team member enrollments.
  • Assist team members with benefits questions, including eligibility and claims issues.
  • Process enrollments and changes in the benefit portal daily.
  • Run weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc benefits reports, process enrollment data feeds, and ensure HRIS and benefit portal system updates.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of carrier monthly billing and process accordingly.
  • Handle all medical support orders appropriately.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with team member benefits preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • Ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience performing similar duties within a gaming company preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and appropriately.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to propose solutions to challenges without being asked.
  • Experience maintaining a positive outlook and friendly communication style during fast-paced periods while handling multi-tasking responsibilities.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to proactively generate positive working relationships with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small groups and on an individual basis.
  • Efficient using Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, databases, and HRIS management tools.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a gaming company is preferred.
