About The Position

The EHS Engineer at Lincoln Electric is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating environmental and occupational health and safety programs for the Cleveland Operation facilities. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and enhance workplace safety and environmental practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental Health and Safety.
  • 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in EHS roles.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001, EPA, NEC, and OSHA standards.
  • Strong desire to take ownership and drive results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with incident investigations and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with safety training and job hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental and occupational health and safety programs.
  • Lead Cleveland Operations as the subject matter expert for Environmental, Safety, and Compliance.
  • Support ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems through audits and job hazard analysis.
  • Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and response plans.
  • Facilitate investigations and respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies such as OSHA and EPA.
  • Work with project engineers to address EHS and compliance issues before equipment installation.
  • Update and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for equipment.
  • Communicate and educate on new EHS and agency requirements to Cleveland Operations.
  • Update and develop EHS specifications and documentation.
  • Manage workplace safety initiatives including PPE selection, safety training, and contractor safety.
