About the position

The Corporate Management Audit Finance Intern at The Walt Disney Company offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of finance and auditing. This full-time internship, lasting six months, allows interns to work closely with industry leaders, contributing to the company's internal audit processes and enhancing their skills in financial analysis and reporting. Interns will engage in various projects, assisting with audit planning and execution while developing valuable professional competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and presentation of various projects and provide solutions to problems as needed
• Assist Financial Audit Seniors and Managers with audit planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting tasks
• Develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills
• Work with Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) to extract data and perform analytics using Excel, Access, and other tools

Requirements

• General finance, accounting and business process knowledge related to financial statements, revenue recognition, account reconciliation, amortization, etc.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel (v-lookups, pivots tables) and PowerPoint
• Outstanding attention to detail and ownership of tasks and deliverables
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt behavior and approach to different people and situations, including working well independently and with teams

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with spreadsheets, databases, ACL, SAS or other data analytical tools
• Previous experience or exposure to SAP
• Previous internship experience
• Experience with Macros and using spreadsheets in Excel
