About The Position

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history check.
  • Pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen and physical ability test.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Sciences, or related fields.
  • Previous corrections or criminal justice related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support all functions within the Adult Residential Center (ARC).
  • Interact continually with clients from various backgrounds with criminal records.
  • Establish a stable foundation for re-entry back into the community.
  • Build healthy relationships and serve as a role-model for appropriate prosocial behavior.
  • Teach and model basic expectations and provide frequent positive reinforcement.
  • Seek opportunities to teach new behaviors, coping skills, de-escalation techniques, and emotion regulation.
  • Conduct routine personal and physical plant searches to maintain a secure and clean working environment.
