About the position

As a Cosmetic Counter Manager at Von Maur, you will play a pivotal role in representing our brand and enhancing our reputation as America's Leading Department Store. This position requires you to oversee the complete operations of a cosmetic line, ensuring that both the business and your team of beauty advisors thrive. You will be responsible for motivating and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service while achieving personal and counter goals. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment where associates feel empowered to excel in their roles. In this role, you will develop strong relationships with customers and associates alike, which is essential for growing your counter business. You will also be expected to execute all duties of a cosmetics sales associate, which includes meeting individual sales and account goals. Regular assessment of associate performance will be necessary to enhance the quality of service provided to customers, increase sales, and meet overall counter goals. Additionally, you will plan and execute successful cosmetic events and gift-with-purchase promotions, which are vital for driving sales and customer engagement. Flexibility is key in this position, as you will be required to work a rotation of day, evening, and weekend shifts. This role not only offers the opportunity to lead a team but also to engage directly with customers, making it a dynamic and rewarding position within the cosmetics department.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate associates to deliver outstanding customer service by training, coaching, and leading by example.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail or cosmetics environment.
